Il Lombardia - Pasqualon on the attack, Petilli 30th
The Tour of Lombardia (1.WT, 15/08) continued the fifteen days of tifosi in Italy. From the start in Bergamo, eleven riders with Andrea Pasqualon managed to escape. The group gained a maximal advantage of 5 minutes, before being caught at the approach of the final, before the Madonna del Ghisallo. The peloton completely exploded under the impulse of Deceuninck-Quick Step, before the crash of Remco Evenepoel in the downhill towards the Muro di Sormano. Simone Petilli and Odd Eiking tried to hang on and crossed the finish line in Como in 30th and 33rd position.
